Hello Chris, I've had a good look at this. I find it hard work! I can connect with the cross (headstone ?) at bottom centre. I then have trouble with the context. I have difficulty reconciling the smooth organic shape of the gate wall (?) with the rectilinear shape of the wooden gate and the building. The “cardboard cut-out” sky and the almost high key silhouette of the foreground foliage is no doubt part of the look – but is unappealing for me.

I agree...it isn't quite there...I have some more digital infrared images to work with and will go back to some of them which are more subject direct oriented.

I have to be honest, I need a bit of help understanding IR images in general. Are they abstract or are they real...What is the photographer trying to catch, I guess it is form and shape and composition, rather than tonal value? I am struggling to find what this image is aiming for.
