I've had several goes at this avenue of pollard trees. Several viewpoints - with and without leaves, etc. I've come to the conclusion that they are a supporting act rather than a main feature. So here I've cropped so that the eye gets a chance to look under the canopy and beyond the forest of trunks - to the far detail. Any good? Thanks for looking. 5D 17mm f11 @1/80sec ISO400

Hi Nick, do you have any of your other shots of this avenue for comparison? IMO the trees really are the main subject here, and I would be tempted to try a very low POV (laying on the ground ) and make them dominate the image....just a thought.

Thanks Rob, Give me a day or two and I'll see if I can root the others out of the bit bucket.

Agree with Rob, I reckon a low viewpoint would make the trees more dominant, whether it will work in practise is another thing. I presume you have tried shooting straight down the middle of them.
