the other morning to a bit of fog...simple shot of mine and a neighbors trees. It was lovely soft fog.

Well spotted image, nicely done Chris. It seems a little dark on my monitor. I have adjusted levels a tad to give the foreground a bit of "pop", and push the sky back.

I had it there and wasn't sure I liked it...it was late but I shall go have a second look. Thanks for the observation.

You have managed to record good detail and sharpness considering the shutter speed and handheld. And agree with your final edit, as it does make the foreground branch stand out from the foggy background better. I may had been tempted to clown out the lower trig that is leaving the frame, so that it looks like you have recorded the whole branch if you see what I mean.
