I've been studying this flag for the better part of two years on a neighbors house which is up for sale...a grim reminder of what the housing market is like in this area of the world.
I think what I like about this flag is the resolve to stay together in the face of even the most of grim realities. It is tattered, torn and in places completely dissolved, but yet, still in one piece. The flag also represents a stark reality, that is neither grim or scary but a reminder that few things ever stay the same. We shall, I believe, emerge from this bit of chaos, still together, but different...as shall we all.
