After several days wondering what was the other side of Lake Constance I suddenly have this scene through my bedroom window. Those are the Swiss Alps and I'm in Germany, so to speak.  |

It is always nice to see the mountain tops appearing out of the mist, and I like the inclusion of the boat to add a bit of foreground interest. But felt that this would work well as a monochrome image, and maybe even crop off top and bottom.

Are you back from your trip, then, Mike? It's a lovely image but, even more, it must have been a thrill when the view cleared!  I love the light on the boat - it kind of 'makes it'. I like the color but what about a crop of the top? Would the wider landscape format draw more attention to the shadow of the mountain range and the expanse of the water- that there's something 'epic' in there?  |
