What a lovely building The posts in the foreground lead the eye round the image nicely. Perhaps its just a shame the second building is cut off slightly but I still like it. Did you try a square crop to isolate just the main building?

I've tried about everything with this building...unfortunately, there are mounds of "stuff" all around the building, and I had to crop the right side building enormously to get rid of it (cloning wasn't an option).
Also, weird as it may seem, cutting off or cloning out the farmhouse makes the barn "float" in its space. The little building is its anchor point. No way to reshoot as it is as far from me as St. Ives is to Thurso (Scotland) and almost all the way back. Perhaps some day I shall revisit that locale.

I like this, composition works for me and I like the inclusion of the background building, like Steve said the fenceline draws your eye in nicely to the main building, just a pity that the lighting was so flat. Have you tried a high contrast monochrome conversion, as this can sometimes rescue flat lighted images.
