I haven't posted any images here for sooo long, I'm feeling a bit embarrassed about it. But a couple of days ago, the Engineer and his bro-in-law went for an overnight tramp in the Nelson Lakes area. The morning clouds were still hanging over Mount Roberts as we drove into the lower carpark at the edge of Lake Rotoiti, so I made a bit of a pano to fit them all in. Not a very wide pano, but 4 stitched images to give a bit of depth. In the distance, you can just get a glimpse of the early snow which fell the night before. The area is rich in native black beech trees and the place was fair humming with tui and bellbirds, all clanging and squeaking at each other. The sun was warm on our backs but in the shade, the slight breeze was cutting.

So fun to see where you are and a beautiful image! Do you need that picnic table? It is funny how the clouds are clinging to the mountaintop.

Very nice view, but indeed... that picknick table You did very well by only stitching four captures. It has a lot of depth and still looks very natural. Good work. Clouds around a mountain top isn't curious at all, isn't it. To me, it is a normal phenomena, rising air and so .

Very nice Kit. I agree with Katy about the table but I would also consider taking the sliver of sand out in the lower right of the frame.
How are things in Middle Earth. Next time I would certainly try to get Frodo, The Dunedain and the rest of the nine walkers into shot ;D

Kay, also, there's a little teeny-tiny red speck on the further shore that you could zap, I guess. and, yup! Second look - it still looks gorgeous and exhilarating - lucky you!

I debated removing the table, the sand and the red marker, but it was getting late and I was running out of steam. That is my excuse, anyway. But yes - I agree, it would be a better photo all round if those distractions were removed. As far as the cloud hanging there goes, we haven't been in this area long enough to know if it is often there or if that was a one off lucky chance. It did seem a bit odd that the other mountains round about had no clouds on them, so perhaps it is less than usual. I'll put some more up later of the other stuff we saw that day.

Very nice with good PP work to stitch these together, good colour and agree with others about the table and sand.
