Lovely, lovely, lovely. The way the light falls on the water - mwah... I guess it is being ruffled in some parts by the wind?

It was getting a lot ruffled by the wind...I managed to keep the camera dry but my back got pretty wet when it finally hit where I was standing.

You know what I am going to say about framing with trees so I will shut up In any case getting in a position to get the scene without could have ended up with more photographically induced self harm. But... I cant help thinking how clean and yet subtle this would have looked without the veggies.

I wasn't quite willing to cut down trees in a National Forest area, nor willing to stand on a very tiny ledge to avoid the trees...especially given it was about 800 feet straight down...
I didn't like the foliage either but I loved the feel of the shot...sighhhhhh.

Thats what I mean the 'feel' of the image is really something. It reminds me of a Scottish Loch

Well spotted shot, now I don't mind the foliage as it does frame the scene. But agree that a shot without it would have a very different effect.

Did I see this before? Well, I surely like it, now..... whatever on the technical - I'm really enjoying it hanging on the banner, at the mo.

I think that this and the other one give a feel of really being there looking out at the lake.
