Oh, and, yeah - looking at these again - there's so much that you could play around with with the shadows, eh?

Cool series, very interesting dunes. Being along the water like that I am betting it does not take long for the lanscape to chage with the wind of the water.

Very nice set, I do like the second image and with a bit more editing, it could be a lot better (just clone out the bits of sea, so that we get shapes of the dunes in the background).

A great set but the first and second images are very striking. With the first I would have been tempted to crop the lower eighth and in both I think the sky needs a little selective increase in saturation. Minor comments though I really like these.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am very pleased with these myself. I will take note and try out the suggestions. Katy - Is this what you meant by playing with the shadows?? Had a quick go at the cloning that Barry suggested and the sky saturation that Wirefox suggested too Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

How fun is that shadow image?!!! Yes, are the possibilities "endless"? You could go in close on the sand - at different angles or do like you've done in the image above. Nifty! (Get some windows for me, too, if you have a chance! ;D)

Beautiful shots, Steve. The edited #2, especially. The "shadows" one and the "footprinters" are cool. Someone once told my wife that your kids will recall vacations very fondly. I think that person was right, as our now-adult children recall theirs and actually still join us each year. You're giving them a great gift.

Thanks George. We do hope they will remember their holidays fondly. It's a great excuse for us all to experience new things.
For example, I had always wanted to go on a submarine so when I saw a trip to go on one a see a couple of ship wrecks, all I had to do was plant the seed in the kids heads that a submarine trip would be cool. Within a short while we were booked and going with their mother blissfully unaware it was secretly my idea. ;D ;D

Last edit...remove the "branches" out of the lower right intersect...way too much draw for the eye (for me anyway).
