Hello Mike, I like this. The journey, the detail, the perspective, are all engaging. It's nicely sharp front to back, colours look plausibly accurate, deep shadow is moderate and not blocked up. Soooo why don't I like it more? I thinks it's maybe a little flat, a bit polite? How about a go at the jazz version?

Hello Mike, Ah … so that's jazz in Clacton then? Well then …... how about the Pre-Raphaelite - with Stanley Clarke fret less base overtones - version? Go on – you know you want to!

I dunno, Nick, I think Mike has aptly titled his image, and if he were to name it, say "A WET AND WILD TIME" I would be expecting something else.
I rather did enjoy exploring your image, Mike. I took the time to wander up the canal, looking for the church around the bend.
Nicely done. Easy on the eyes.

Beautiful image, Mike. Does the canal go all the way to the church? I am with Marie that the original editing suits the title, but I am enjoying both versions.

Very nice Mike. It looks great.
The greens look a little hot on my screen though, have you tried toning them down a touch?

Does the canal go all the way to the church? It's actually a river that winds through the town, but it doesn't go directly past the church.

I like this too, lots to look at, while the church and river still remains the main subject. Well spotted.
