This is pretty good, Chris. I think, if it's not too patronizing, that your photography is definitely improving. I like the strong lines here and the good contrast. It's a good study in shape, structure and form (whatever that means).

I look at birthdays - at this age - and I am quite happy to have them rather than the alternative...the only depressing part is all the parts that used to work in unison, now work as parts and not nearly so well...sighhhhhhhh

I guess I'm lucky. I have had no major illnesses. My hearing is ace, my eyesight is excellent now I've had implants (to correct cataracts) and I am on zero prescription drugs (my dentist thinks I'm lying about that to impress him, but I'm not)

No, what really gets me about ageing is the sheer length of time I seem to have been kicking around. I was reading a history book on the 1950/60's last night and started remembering from experience some of the events mentioned

Well next year I will hit the milestone bump in the road, with a 5 in front of it... So we will see how well preserved I am by then... fashionista will turn 21 a couple of months later, so we may have some sort of joint celebration gig, that way I can sneak away early when I've had enough & no-one will miss me
Now the photo, yes yes this is the sort of thing I really like, nice shapes & angles & a bit of wonder & mystery, what is behind those doors ...
The only thing I would change is the reflection patch on the wall at the left, I would remove that & leave the wall plain.
