Color. The tonal values are such that they all blend together in the B&W. The color provides a richness of contrast not appreciated by the conversion.

May I have a #1 – with a clockwise rotation so the shore line is level (ish) ? I do believe it is dead on level. I think the curvature of the river gives it a wacked angle on level, but I did check.
