Another one from the camping trip last weekend, Lathkill Dale. Unfortunately it rained heavily shortly after this was taken so I didn't get to take any more on this walk

Very nice Steve. As our Canadian friends said on a recent visit - "just love the Rock Fences" How about -

Thanks Nick.
Rock Fences - brilliant ;D
I toyed with that crop but I thought it made the main tree a bit too central and it lost that nice contour of the foreground field rising up to the right of the frame.
I wonder what others think?

As yours stands or with Nick's edit, the image can hold its own, but in the edit only by virtue of a strong lead into the frame. However, as you can see by the directional arrows, the original with a strong lead in (rock wall), to me is rendered stronger by a nearly equal strength on the right side of the frame (by color, not size) which serves to lead it back to the left side of the frame. In the edit, there really isn't anything to push the eye back to the left and the viewer, and while seeing a pleasant image never gets the full impact of the shot.

Thanks Chris.
I love it when you do that. It's what is in my head but I struggle to explain it a clearly enough. The arrows just make it super clear for a simpleton like me.
