This was taken from The Heights of Abraham in Matlock. The photo probably isn't that great but I was amazed at the range of greens in the scene.

I just think the colors need more saturation at the luminosity level.

Chris, I still prefer Steve's image. I think yours has lost the range of greens as shown in the example Steve provided.

Hmmm, must be a difference in monitors, but his seemes a bit flat in the mid ranges.

Hummm …... Nice picture Steve, and an interesting discussion. On my “proper” monitor the original is much what I’d expect. The foreground has quite a lot of yellow and some red. The background – top of frame – has a blue hue to it. Both observations are – in my experience – entirely typical of the English countryside. On my monitor – whatever Chris has done – has subdued the foreground and background effects noted above. To my eye the result is a more even, front to back, 3D effect. I don't think one is better than the other – they just different.
