dontcha just love this time of year The abstract is interesting Rob. is that using your ripples plug in again? Is it just me after a cheeky glass of beer, or does the first one need a CCW rotation?

Interesting set Rob. My fav is #3 – just something about backlit leaves – I can't resist them. Looks like you did a good job just about stopping the hot spots getting too hot.
#1 I agree with Steve – the house looks a little “off”. On my screen the image maybe looks a little “crunchy”?

No plugin on the abstract - it's a natural shot. The abstract was taken using 0.4 sec exposure and I moved the camera (hand-held). I also used FILTER/BLUR/MOTION BLUR in Photoshop CS6 and matched the angle of motion to the natural angle of motion in the shot - if that makes sense. That made the motion effect more pronounced than in the native shot. I did CCW the first one - but I probably need to do it a bit more. It was a pano of four shots, so I probably got some axial distortion.

I meter for the brightest part of the sky using spot meter. That stops it blowing out. If I need more foreground light I often use flash, but in this case I didn't need it.

Thanks for the metering tip, Rob. I love your abstract, and the leaf detail in particular. Beeyootifull!

LOL I have to look at them again to critique them as I got stuck watching the last one move right to left & left to right as I scrolled up and down. ;D Nice images Rob.

You can tell from the last one, Rob's been in the pharmaceuticals again. We can all be boiled down to chemicals and physics. How depressing!
