It looks like you were well and truly blessed with fall colour, Marie. #'s 1, 2 and 5 are looking particularly good to me on the laptop, but I am looking forward to getting them all up on the big display.

Thanks, Janis. We did have particularly beautiful color, albeit very fleeting.
Did you have the same?

Only the popcorn trees get any real fall color here and they've been virtually eradicated because they are such an invasive species. Are those flowers frozen in water?

Chris, I actually used the "chrome" filter in CS5. I just like the effects.

Lovely stuff 'Rie.
We were supposed to get a good show this year according to the scientists but wherever I have been to try and see it, all I get is browns. Maybe I just went to the wrong places.
I love number 1. The red aginst the brown background makes for a strong composition.
2 and 3 really show those colours of nicely and scream all things Autumn to me.
Number 4 is my favourite of this set though probably because there are other elements in the picture to make it more complete. I would have liked to have seen it from further away or with a wider angle lens to have the whole road in view to lead into the frame, to see all of the closer tree on the edge of the water that had been cut off slightly at the top and to see a bit more sky to finish the whole thing off. I don't want much do I ;D
Nice effect on the flowers and I recognise the barn in the last one. That looks like a great place to photograph.

Dear Steve, Ok. I have done a part of what you have asked. The full tree and sky I think I can also do. This is a 3 photo composite - not really a stitch, just best placement and a bit of patching and cloning. I never thought of doing it this way. I can keep Erin and Emily in, or clone them out. What do you'all think of this? Landscapem by mariehass, on Flickr 'Rie

It might be a hard clone job, but I don't think the two people do a thing for this shot. it is literally two shots in one and I feel you have to make a choice as to which shot you want. Lovely colors by the way.

It seems a shame to delete people, especially ones as nice as Erin and Emily. However If you have the time and the inclination, I think a careful clone job would improve it for sure.

Thanks, Steve.
Do you think this one is printable or just an exercise? Please be honest.
