This shot was made on a Nikon D40 about 8 years ago up on the Highway to the Sun, Glacier Park, MT. It is a nicely accessible view of the river which flows into McDonald Lake which heralds the beginning of the park. Shots like this remind me why I need to go back and revisit and how far digital cameras have come since this shot was made. At best the D40 was a marginal 6 MP entry level digital camera. I bought them for my students and they are still using them today which is at least a testament to their robust construction.

It goes to show Chris that 6 million pixels in the right hands are better than 36 million in the worng hands That water looks cold.

I like the color in this image Chris. It does look cold. I do feel like the rocks are a bit crunchy. A little sharper than they need be? I see a few halos. The rocks on the further bank are the ones that catch my eye and the edges of the shute.
