I like #1/2 very much. The way the river, and then that road segue through the shot leading the viewer in a natural harmonious flow (sorry, wrong drugs today). The light is very nice - it has blessed the scene with some wonderful soft colours. Hang it on yer wall?

I like #1 for the same reason as Rob. It looks as though it has a bit of a magenta hue to it though on my screen. Maybe all the green threw the white balance off? Number 4 is worth an honourable mention though surely The way the trees on the left lead down to the centre building is great. Maybe the building on the right shouldn't be there if there is another way to compose it but still keep the trees on the left how they are??

Same as the others but I'd really like to see the last one in B&W.

Very nice, love the light in the first two. I also agree with Chris on the thought of B&W on the last.

The first version of the B&W makes for a nice cloistered church tucked away down the lane while the second makes me think any moment Father McKenzie and Eleanor Rigby will come strolling up that same lane, she with a jar and he with darning needles.

I really like the light and the diagonal compositional layering on the first. This gives the whole thong great depth and interest.

Glad you got something out of it Chris. There are large numbers of infeasibly big churches all over the place hereabouts. It's a throwback to the time before mechanisation and the resulting massive de-population of our rural landscape. Many of these buildings are only viable subjects in winter – most, like this one – are surrounded by deciduous trees.

I like #6 Paul, but then then I did ask for it Have you tried #11 as B&W with really harsh structure? It looks like you had a really good day out.
