I thought number 1 was good but then when I scrolled down, number 2 stole the show. Quite spectacular Rob.

Wave is quite nice..I've surfed in colder water but can tell you no matter how good the wet suit, you freeze your ****'s off.

The waves in the second are very intense looking. great capture. I do like the first image but can't help but feel the title would have been more effective had the man and board been against the waves in the second.

Well you certainly can't be accused of post-cardinism with the first two. I really do like these. The first reminded me of Fernando Kaskais but the tight framing sets it aside. The second is a very powerful image and puts me right there on that beach.
The third is an accurate representation of what I will see rather than what I will feel and for that reason comes nowhere near the first two. A technically superb photograph nevertheless.
As for surfing in two degrees - I have noticed this behaviour in the Welsh wastes before. Sitting in unheated chapels for hours makes them a hardy race...although I am guessing the surfer is actually 'Tim', a computer software consultant from Leighton Buzzard who is celebrating the £6.39 he raised from grappling with Movember hirsuism.

These are really nice. The first two especially... Do you have the color version of the second image...it's a beauty.

That rocky headland always looks blue, and the sky was very blue. It just works better in BW. One of those shots.

That's a decent tube wall. Is it about 4-5 feet (1 1/2 - 2 meters)or smaller?

Many years ago, I was a serious surfer as was my late brother who owned a rather large surfboard company, "Plastic Fantastic." Since his recent demise, the price of his boards went from 300-1000 to 3000 to 10,000 dollars US dependent upon condition, style and signature.
I am fortunate to have one of the $10K boards but no one but me will ever have it is their possession. When I die, it is going back to the Surfer's Journal headquarters from whence it came for public display. Should they fold, it will go to my grandson.
Six footers are good waves. not too fast, they hold their shape for a long time and in general, don't drive your silly butt into the sand when you dump.

The most beautiful image is the colored one. I like the beach with all that area of sand and the waves spreading slowly...
