I like #5, and #6 but as pretty as snow scenes are, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I think I can live without them from my end of the camera. I shall live vicariously through you guys in the cold-cold north.

6 is mighty purty but for sheer atmosphere 5 wins hands down. That is how trees should be shot and I am pinning it to my photography board...and thats a good thing because I am very fussy and discerning you know

The trees with just a sliver of the road is really a beautiful image, Rob. It will make me look at things from a different vantage point. Beautiful.

I like 1,5 and 6. Havent walked in the snow in years. I doubt you ever will again, living where you do. Remind me - what is the temperature there at present? ;D

The trees with just a sliver of the road is really a beautiful image, Rob. It will make me look at things from a different vantage point. Beautiful. It is on a very steep hill, and I was looking up - which accentuates the 'tall' effect of the trees.

Yup, #5 and #6 for me too. Well done! That little camera is sure earning it's keep.

That little camera is sure earning it's keep. Everything in my house has to earn it's keep - I'm a pensioner! (sound of plangent violin strings in a minor key fading away...)

.... Ha a pensioner, you think you've got it tough.... wait till you hear the sound of violins from the semi retired bean counter, who has to pick up his abacus once more in order to pay for University College accommodation fees couldn't happen to a nicer chap .... anyhooo back to the pictures, Wales in winter does indeed look a very beautiful place to be. The second of the group seems a teeny bit harsh, almost infra-redish (not a word, I know) but I do enjoy the others very much.

I think number 1 would go down as my favourite, closely follwed by 5 and 6.
I like the first one for the scale and I think the composition is superb. i went on a real journey around the frame. Through the gate, up to the road, into the village, back down to the farm, then up on to the horizon.
