This is an image of the bottom of a pine needle basket my mother made a few years back. f/11@1/160 sec,ISO 200 Converted to b&w in Elements 10 using the infra red setting in the Enhancement tools convert to b&w at an 80% opacity with the color image.

Very nice Ron. It's quite calming looking around that pattern.

I'd love to see you do a similar thing with the color image. Have you managed to get gainful employment in the meanwhile? I know it's tough out there in the job market.

Thanks Steve and Chris. @chris: I have this file saved as a PSD, so I'll post the color image a little later today. This image was taken in direct sunlight so the contrast is on the harsh side just a tad.I have another image similar to this one taken in shaded light which I'm going to work on that has more detail in the black areas of this image. It might take a while as I have to dodge and burn with using the touch pad on the laptop.
As far as the employment thing I am still looking.

Thanks Janice.I'll make an attempt to get some different angles of this basket later. The bottom was the easiest,as It was flat.

Definitely color. My first thought when I saw the image, was of wheat blowing in the wind. Really pretty.

Love the color one, but would love to see what else you can do with the B&W.
