Have you considered trying this as a duotone? there is something about the toning that seems to work great on the cork and BG but not so great on the glass. Interesting image, however.

Not sure if Elements 10 has the duo tone feature, but I'll look into it.I do like your edit though.

I didn't really use a duo-tone process. I just isolated the bottle part and converted it to BW, then masked back some of the sepia into the bottle...cheap trick but it worked.

The first image is terrific, Ra, but I do think Chris's edit takes it up a notch. Well done, Chris.
The second image is interesting. I am curious to know why you want a lens baby. Would it improve on the effect you have created here?

Thanks Janis. A lens baby would give me an area of focus that is circular instead of on a plane.I feel it would be better to isolate the words and or a group of combined letters that make up a word. And yet more Plain English Genuine f/10@1/60 sec,ISO 400

Ra, why not use a circular or elliptical selection of the text you require to be sharp, invert and use a very large feather before applying a gaussian or other form of blur. You should be able to achieve more control over the area of sharpness than you would using a lensbaby. Another quick fix!

Nice to hear from you Mike.
That what I sort of done with this image. After creating a Gaussian blur on a separate layer,I added a mask to hide the whole layer and brushed back in the area over the plane that was in focus.

Ron, I really like what you are doing with Good/Evil and Genuine. They remind me of reverse lens macros but with a greater depth of field. Very nice work
