Gosh Chris, I so want to like this - and I think I do ..... but there is something stopping me ...... Is it the small amount of motion blur - maybe make it a little more so? Is it the dark blotch on the left wrist? Duno ......

That is a tough bit of PP to get the blur to look real I know what Nick means, it should be a likeable shot but it does seem to have something missing. maybe it is the viewing angle? I think I would have liked to be a bit more to camera right so that I am not so disconnected from here intense gaze. This would also bring her nose back inside the cheekline. Then again, maybe the crop isn't quite right and we could lose the left hand altogether

The second fame nails it best.
The LH needs to be in frame to complete the juxtaposition: to create the tension and release.
I wouldn’t worry about the nose / cheek line – it is not a studio portrait. I think you are micro-thinking that issue a bit too much – but I understand micro thinking it.
On the Camera Position – yes I agree the disconnect with her gaze is neither “total” such that we are absolutely “looking in” – yet on the other hand we are not “intimate” with her – so I suggest you put that down to “next time I’ll remember that” or “oh poop! I missed that, poo happens and move on” But for now, I think you should say: ”Good shot and Good P.P. in frame two to enhance it.”
EXCELLENT B&W conversion: in harmony with the tone and mood of the shot.
Bravo.

My steady eddy 18-105. One of Nikon's hidden secrets. I find it to be a stellar lens which will perform in many-many conditions without fail.

Thanks for answering.
That surprises me. Wide open at 105mm and it is an APS-C lens.
That's very impressive.
