Carroll Creek Linear Park and trompe l'oeil Bridge Murals

This week I am in Maryland for my 40th high school reunion. I stopped by one of my favorite places to go - the Carroll Creek Linear Park and Bridge Murals. What is so neat about these bridge murals is that they are fine examples of trompe l'oiel - you almost have to put your hands on the wall to feel that it is actually smooth.

Just delightful, Marie. Is that all the work of one artist? Love the detail shots in particular, but it's nice to see the larger setting, too. Thanks for sharing!

Dear Jan,

It is a collective work. I vowed when I went home, I would take lots of pictures of the places where I spent time as I was growing up and in my early adulthood. A lot has changed. I only regret how quickly time passed. Some scenes will never be recovered.
