...... How nice it is to drive five minutes down the road and walk alone on a beautiful beach.... Oh yes it is .... and with all the moods / weather / lights / seasons it's highly addictive too. I especially like #3 for no particular reason I can put a finger on.

It's a about an 8 minute walk for me... but I rarely take my camera and if I do... I forget to take any pics... major fail on my part.
Beautiful images, Rob, as usual. The sky in all of them is great, I really like the first one... the sky, the dark hill, the people, the marker... all make a nice scene.

#1 works beautifully, Rob. Your composition is really good on this one. I'm glad you decided to keep the highlights in the clouds just enough to let us see details without blowing out. Awesome work!

The second is the best Rob I don't think the almost square format of the third works here... in spite of the composition.

I was too tired before to put together what the whole of the images must look like on my tiny screen. Today is better, though. #1 is obviously lovely (I keep thinking that there are two people walking on water near the horizon, there, but it must be another pair of poles? (Wait, that came out funny...) but #2 does really rather transcend.... what a beautiful mood. (might I just whisper - its' one of those quiet ones, too... you know....)

#2 is fantastic in my humble opinion. Every time I see that wonderful light of rain approaching through bright light or sunshine, it makes me think, "one day I will have my camera with me when that happens"

Every time I see that wonderful light of rain approaching through bright light or sunshine, it makes me think, "one day I will have my camera with me when that happens" I usually have a camera with me, but on this occasion I didn't have the right lens... Bad weather can make for really good landscapes, in my opinion.

Rob, gotta love the first one as it has that feel of how huge the natural world is and how tiny are the people in it. Great dark tones give the storminess extra oomph.
The second image - great texture on the sand so nicely shown and again a feeling of vastness.
For some reason, number 3 doesn't ding my bell so much. Can't quite put my finger on why, but maybe it is the too well balanced top and bottom halves.
