Another from Sweden taken with my point and shoot. These are abandoned winter cattle pens. Again I had the edit in mind when I took the shot but didn't have enough dynamic range to get some detail in both shadows and the burnt out highlight area of the floor. Best of a bad job I'm afraid. I struggle a bit with a point and shoot in anything other than ideal conditions. Hopefully my new 'lightweight' DSLR travel kit will solve the problem.

I really like it Mike, blown highlights or not. Sometimes we can obsess about these things too much.
You have managed to convey a real emotional feeling with this image.

Great image, Mike. I don't think it necessarily suffers from the blown highlights; they make me think of oblivion.

If you work in luminosity masks, you can easily get rid of the blown highlights.
