I have heard of Mike Disfarmer. Back in the early 1990's some one gave me a few of his prints. I knew nothing of him and have put the prints away - somewhere. I will have to see if they survived a divorce and several moves. Hoping, but not likely.
I feel very stupid.

Anyway, I had never heard of him until I was browsing the Kindle books on Amazon. There was another photographer who was discovered accidentally when someone bought her prints/negs at auction: Vivian MaierFame seems to have a lot of accidental fortune associated with it. I suppose also there are those who want nothing to do with being famous. |
