I have been experimenting a lot with my Nikkor 105 mm macro as a landscape lens, to see what it can and cannot do. These are a couple of shots I took with the D90 last spring that I rather like, though I think I should lose the uppermost clouds in the second. What say you?   |

I'd leave the uppermost clouds in the second and I like it best of the two.

Thanks, Chris. Those clouds right at the upper edge still bother me. I am in the process of learning GIMP, with the help of lynda.com, and am hoping it will do a better job of ridding me of them than my current tools.

I like the composition of the first one Janis, although I think it would stand a mono treatment well.
