I finally got around to buying the piece of kit I wanted to try out the technique coined as "The Jarvie Window". This is great fun for events and functions.

He He. It is fun.
It is a ring flash adapter that clips onto a standard speedlite. When you use it with a fisheye lens the field of view is so wide that it captures the edge of the ring flash, couple that with the super depth of field and close minimum focussing distance and hey, presto, you have the Jarvie Window. Named after Scott Jarvie who seems to be the first one to hit on the idea.
I will post a couple of shots of the set up when I can find a willing volunteer or two in Webb Towers.
