Something different in the Gathering series.A minimalistic kind of image.Have not decided if this works or not so I've put it up here for some c&c.

I like it a lot...love the tone you got in the sky.

Works for me, too. Although there are blacks, the sky isn't blown at all and the cloud detail gives some extra depth. Makes me ask, what are those buzzardy looking birds looking down at as they circle around so intently. Very retro Western feel - cowboys and whatever the current politically correct term for the other side is.

Strange how you start looking for things when there isn't much detail. For example, I notice they are all flying in the same direction, apart from the top one. And, of course, I want to know why.

Me, I'd say they were all in the same air current vortex...

Thanks for the input Chris,Kit and Rob.They could have probably been in the same vortex and were moving with it.Any time I see buzzards or vultures flying in groups like this they usually smell something to eat and are hunting it down.

The problem with sea gulls is that they are a more brazen than vultures and will crowd you out so be careful Steve. ;D

For example, I notice they are all flying in the same direction, apart from the top one. And, of course, I want to know why. That is the same as a row of houses with all the tv ariels pointing in the same direction accept for one . Getting back to the image, it is interesting to see the pattern that has formed with one bird at top and bottom, and the middle six almost mirrored.

This is a very nice image, Ron. I like the tone and the minimalism.
