Chris, I want to like this - but there is something that bothers me. Hummm - some of it is a bit "crunchy" - mostly the gents arms and faces.

I don't know about 'crunchy' but, to me, this image is too punchy. The spread of sharply defined and high contrast texture in the wood and water, make this a bit hard on the eye, well my one good one anyway. So, at first glance, the men are not the focus of the image - I did not, for example, even notice right away that the guy on the right had got a bite, though I had looked at him a couple of times.

Weird, I've gotten nothing but high praise everywhere else...part of the issue is the translation of B&W images on this forum...I've had issues in the past. The most important thing to me was a person recognized one of the guys (one catching the fish), showed it to him and each of three guys ordered a print...If they are happy, I am thrilled, though I do appreciate your open honesty. Sometimes, images just don't work for all of us.

I would like to see this printed. I guess screen does not do it justice. I can see what Nigel and Nick are saying but if I put it full screen and really get into the image it is full of discovery and detail. Next time ask them to move the boat away from the jetty a bit to give some separation

Then I lose the moment of just being themselves. This is street on a waterway.
