One more B&W of an old image...but a fun one where I went places in PP I'd never been before.

Black and White conversion of flowers does not always work, as colour is one of the main attractions to this type of image. But this one has worked as the main Lily leaves are nicely lit up against the darker foliage. The flower centre bits are nice and sharp and they also stand out well. I may had been tempted to tone down the two out of focus brighter areas at top of image thou.

Hummm, there's an idea. I notice that overall you've managed to make the oof areas less intrusive than I might expect them to be in colour.

For me, I also tend to agree with Barry about floral shots converted to b&w. however, if the arrangement of the petals or any part of the flower can elevate interest on the shot I don't see any issue converting it to B&W. My small suggestion on the shot would be to brighten up the central part to elevate the focus there as it looks lost in the tonality of the whole image. That's a very interesting flower, Chris.

Center lightened, backdrop areas at top, darkened.

I like the subtle adjustment.
