(Kind of like the M1) and there is this nice, low level fog misting about all this nice farmland, and I know if I stop and take a shot and the state troopers catch me, it's a ticket for sure... Soooooooooo, having Nina the great with me, I have her set the camera for shutter priority, 800 ISO and 1250 shutter speed (it's 6:30 in the AM and I'm traveling at about 70 MPH. I told her to shoot as close to 90 degrees as she can and that I would tell her when to shoot...hey, for the most part it worked and some of the shots are pretty fun.

Woooooh – action photography where the subject is static – that's a concept. Please tell Nina the great that I think she is a very clever young stick! ;D Now I'm very taken with #2. I suppose it's the mist / low light / hay bails thing. But this has extra, with the foreground bail against the three post fence section. Very nice indeed.

The Mini will go that fast?? I like #2 also. The Mini will do at least 134 with 800 rpm left. Lots of crazy thoughts go through your head at 130+ in a Mini, the first of course being..." ENOUGH, you dimwit!" I was aiming to see if it would really do 147 as has been claimed. 134 was precious plenty to convince me it just might get there.

One more... Cowses at 70 MPH. If more than one horse is horses, then more than one cow should be cowses. Just makes sense, you know.

Wind buffeting just starts to shake my helmet right about there, time to get further under the screen. But yes....enough is enough. I think your Mini would do it Chris, given 800 more and a nice long stretch.

Yes sir, that is about the only fun you can have out there.......long and straight no curves and 5am is a good time. There are some roads like that here in Washington {eastside} but too many people, most times. I am a cornering fan, I like curves. Am still jealous of your trip last year.

Thats the one! There are special weekends for different make bikes for about a month and a half. I will do it one of these days for sure. You might want to repost the OP photo below now that we de-railed your thread.

You want curves...you come out here the first week in May... You need to send this to the blokes on the UK Top Gear, those guys think the US has nothing but straight roads.

Reminds me of the old song about the Nash Rambler, were you also only in 2nd gear ?
