Hi Donny, I love the subtle colours and the silhouette of the trees, but I think I would prefer a crop that puts the mountain top either at the centre of the horizontal two-thirds line, or at the intersection of the horizontal and vertical two-thirds lines. Which is to say, something like this: or this: The first crop is a non-standard size but it has the virtue of preserving the sun and the whole of that beautiful tree line. I do like the second, though, because of how it emphasizes the line of the tree on the left pointing towards the summit, as well as the line of the white cloud paralleling the line of the slope on the right. Something to consider while we wait for the experts to weigh in.

What a lovely view - a lovely image! Janis has some good ideas. I'm sorry, though, I don't really know what to say for a critique... I just wanted to tell you that I oohed and aaahed! ;-)

Thanx Janis, I like the 2nd one also and your image gives me an idea... How about if I crop it like this???

Thanx Janis, I like the 2nd one also and your image gives me an idea... How about if I crop it like this??? That works, too, I think, but personally I am fond of those fern-like boughs on the left, which have a bit more visual interest for me.

I prefer Janis's second edit putting the mountain on the thirds, and using the dark skys above to balance the dark trees below. plus I find reading the image from left to right, my eye tends to build up to the mountain.
