The colour is great in this shot, I really like the way that the colour of the ground matches the buildings (we are so use to seeing coloured houses here in the uk). The s shaped green area takes your eye nicely into the background mountains.
Just noticed that this is in the 'Monochrome Images forum', did you want me to move it.

... Just noticed that this is in the 'Monochrome Images forum', did you want me to move it. My wife doesn't like this photograph. She is probably right. I hesitated before posting it because it was just another post card of mines. In fact, it is not very good. Well... another one of those trivial images. Anyway, this - post lousy (bad) photographes - is good for us to see what are not good photographs and learn from the errors of others. I am sorry Barry if I made the mistake and placed the photo in the wrong location. Will you please move it where it should be ? Thank you

I like the image Antonio. Not every image will be a wall hanger or such. I think it serves more than one purpose in my opinion. Not only is it a nice record of the area, it also gives some...a large bit of information as to composition. When I see a photo with this much area, I see the opportunity to visually break it down into as many sub compositions as I can just for exercise.

Uncle John was far more successful than Aunt Mary in this shot. Good line curves flowing together combined with a nice variation in color values makes all the components of this image work together, quite harmoniously.

This is one of the images I am intending to frame to offer to the friends who came with us to Morocco so, it has a special meaning. They are painting the house and making it nice - we will be having lunch there some day - and I though it would be nice in his home as a remembrance. Thank you

Hello Chris Again Chris, this is not a very good image. Don't be shy: if you think that the image is Aunt Mary's style, fill free. It almost her style yes. But as I told before, the photo has a purpose. Perhaps I should have composed better using some kind of frame in the foreground to give depth to the image... Again, not a Very Good one. Not even Good. Just Sufficient, medium photograph, post card style. 10 in a scale to 20 !

I think, like someone else on here, this would be much better as a B&W, but as it sits, there is much more harmony, less distractive elements than the first scenic you posted.
