At the last full moon (10th Dec) I went to my fave place to try my luck. I badly misjudged where the moon would be so had to improvise a bit. I experimented with various shutter speeds and also the crops and looks in pp. C&C please. Thanks for looking. All shot using a tripod. (#5 was done previously as a quick & dirty for my Christmas card) #1 5D 105mm f8 @ 2secs ISO 100 #2 5D 47mm f7.1 @ 30secs ISO 100 #3 5D 47mm f5.6 @ 2secs ISO 400 #4 5D 47mm f8 @3.2secs ISO 400 #5 5D 47mm f8 @4secs ISO 400

Nick, I really like #3,4 and 5. Although I would remove the mall white lights along the horizon.

You appear to be suffering from some pretty bad dust bunnies #4 wins for me.

I like number 5 for the reflection, but preferred the wave action in number 3, so I had a go at blending them together and removing the other lights on the horizon. Plus I lighten the foreground a bit.

Good job, Barry, though I am not so sure I wouldn't have gone ahead and taken out the boat as well...seems to draw my eye too much.

Very cool images Nick.I also like the wave action in #3 and the moon shot in #5.Barry image looks great with both images blended together but I'm seeing a straight edge in the lower portion of the image about a 1/2 inch from the bottom.

but I'm seeing a straight edge in the lower portion of the image about a 1/2 inch from the bottom. Well spotted, I did not noticed that until you pointed it out . O well I was just showing what could be done even with low res images.

Thanks for the reviews guys. Barry nice idea with the edit - I'll pass though - just not my idea of a photograph. BTW you folks are tough to please. I spend an hour and a half with icicles forming on my Gentleman's area. I get the Inner Farne safe light blink, the Longstone Light sweep, and a ship in the moonlight - all lined up. Then you lot want to take them all out. Oh and the shot without them in in the first place gets no mention. Well picky we all are - sheesh.

Barry nice idea with the edit - I'll pass though - just not my idea of a photograph. No problem, we all have a idea of what we like or dislike, that is what keeps photography interesting.
